Call for Nominations: Executive Committee and Committee Chairs

It is time to nominate leaders for the 2026/2027 Broken Top Executive Committee and various Committee Chair positions! This is a fantastic opportunity to shape our chapter and contribute to our safety community.

Elections are scheduled for April/May, with the new leaders taking office on July 1, 2026. You are welcome to nominate yourself or a deserving colleague.

Nomination deadline is March 30, 2026. Please get your nominations in as soon as possible so we can prepare the election survey. You can use the election form posted here or reach out to a current Executive Committee member.

Available Leadership Roles

Executive Committee

President-Elect: Succeeds to the President next year; fills in for the President as needed.
Vice President: Leads speaker arrangements for chapter meetings.
Treasurer: Manages chapter finances.
Secretary: Records meeting minutes.
Advisory Group Member: Represents our chapter by providing feedback to other ASSP groups.

Committee Chairs

Webmaster: Maintains the chapter website.
Membership Chair: Engages with new and prospective members.
WISE Chair: Manages our chapter’s Women in Safety Excellence programs and collaborates with other Oregon WISE groups.

Announcement: ASSP Region I Spring ROC Coming to Bend, Oregon!

We’re excited to share that the ASSP Region I Spring ROC 2026 will be held in beautiful Bend, Oregon!

This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase Central Oregon—its natural beauty, vibrant community, and the unique qualities that make living and working here so special.

Niki Holm Honored with Peak Leadership Award

The Broken Top Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) is proud to announce Niki Holm as the recipient of the 2024-25 Broken Top Peak Leadership Award, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the safety profession and her unwavering commitment to leadership and mentorship in Central Oregon.

Niki Holm, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University, is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and brings over 20 years of experience in safety and loss prevention across the construction, energy, and agriculture sectors. She currently serves clients at IMA Financial Group, where she is known for her pragmatic approach to risk management and her dedication to developing future safety leaders.
